As part of our efforts to collect new data to validate the FAIR Model for ACL injury risk screening, we will use our novel approach of Digital Health Days. Digital Health Days enable us to collect movement data from participants in parallel. With this approach, we have been able to collect data from approximately 50 participants per day, over half of whom have neuromuscular impairments, performing a variety of tasks.
During a Digital Health Day, multiple stations are set up, each staffed by a clinician and researcher who guide participants through movement tasks. Participants move from station to station, so data is collected from participants in parallel. This highly coordinated activity efficiently collects movement data and also provides an opportunity to build connections between people with lived experience, researchers, and staff.
